On November 9 and 10, 1938, Jewish homes, hospitals, schools, and synagogues were vandalized across Germany, Austria, and Sudetenland. Known as Kristallnacht, or the “Night of Broken Glass,” this attack marked the beginning of the Nazi regime’s anti-Semitic racial policies and the Holocaust.
