Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Update #11

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Update #11

University Access Health Screening Process

As we prepare for the safe and gradual return to campuses and sites, Barry University has implemented a health screening process for individuals accessing any university location. All students, faculty, staff, visitors and vendors must perform symptom self-checks each day, prior to coming to any location. Residential students must perform these checks prior to leaving the residence hall each day.

Information specific to each university population is available at https://www.barry.edu/prepare/covid-19/university-access.html, and the daily symptom self-checklist is available here.

This health screening procedure is effective immediately, and all staff accessing campus to support essential basic functions as well as remaining residential students should follow the instructions in the links above.

Campus and Site Access Updates

The four task forces continue their work establishing parameters, policies and procedures for the full return to university locations.

The Barry University Podiatric Medicine Foot and Ankle Clinics officially reopened today for in-person appointments, and limited capacity campus tours will resume this week for Florida residents. Additionally, employees for whom on-campus work is deemed essential will begin accessing campus more regularly.

For all others, access to campuses or university locations remains restricted and visits will only be permitted on a case-by-case basis with advance approval.

Additional updates will be provided as the task forces complete their work, and additional populations are set to return to campuses and sites.
