Despite what you might think, you can’t recycle all plastic. Find out the “dos and don’ts” of recycling at Barry in this new video created by biology student Ashley Marie Lycke and Professor, Dr. Anita Zavodska.
Ashley was first inspired to learn more about protecting the planet thanks to her environmental science professor, Dr. Zavodska, who stressed the importance of recycling, reducing, and reusing. Ashley worked with her professor to make a video on campus with students and faculty that shows which types of plastic can be recycled. She hopes it will be shown and will make an impact outside of Barry, as well. All it takes is one person to spread the word to make a difference, according to Ashley.
Ashley and Dr. Zavodska are both set on letting people know how to do their part for the environment.
