Hundreds of “Brides” to Walk to Support Domestic and Dating Violence Victims

(Miami, FL) Barry University will host the annual College Brides Walk on Friday, February 21st to shine a light on the issue of domestic and dating violence. Hundreds will flood the streets dressed as brides and march three miles from Barry’s Miami Shores Campus to Johnson & Wales University in North Miami. A partnership with Johnson & Wales, the walk is designed to create a platform for young minds to discuss solutions, have a healthy outlet for self-expression and continue the conversation about domestic and dating violence.

The powerful event will feature survivor stories, musical and dance performances, and remarks from law enforcement before the walk gets underway.
