Dr. Manuel J. Tejeda Assumes Role as Interim Dean of Barry University Andreas School of Business 

(MIAMI, FL) Dr. Manuel J. Tejeda, an esteemed Professor of Management who previously served as Associate Dean, will lead Barry University’s Andreas School of Business as Interim Dean, effective today, March 15, 2021.

A professor at Barry University for more than two decades, Dr. Tejeda brings to the position a wealth of pedagogical expertise, a deep background in research, and a passion for building successful, ethical, and responsible business leaders of the future.

“Dr. Tejeda is an accomplished scholar and educator, dedicated to student success,” said Barry University Provost, Dr. John Murray. “Under his creative leadership, I am confident the Andreas School of Business will reach new heights, both in the richness of our students’ experience in our programs and in the impact of our graduates in their respective professions.”

Dr. Tejeda holds a BA in Psychology and Computer Science, an MS in Educational and Psychological Sciences, and a PhD in Business Administration with Concentrations in Organizational Behavior and Research Methods, all from the University of Miami. His research interests focus on leader relationships and their impact on followers as well as on spirituality, inclusivity, and social justice in the workplace.

“It is an honor to serve as Interim Dean,” Dr. Tejeda said. “At the Andreas School of Business, we are at the forefront of ethical business education, covering the fundamentals, the strategic, and even the spiritual side of transformative business practices.”

The Andreas School of Business faculty maintain the most rigorous standards while providing a dynamic setting with personalized attention and a holistic approach to business education that stimulates growth and fosters responsible business practitioners and leaders.

Dr. Tejeda replaces Dr. Joan Phillips, who left Barry this month.
