Students from College of Nursing and Health Sciences’ dual degree programs win second place at annual Student Case Competition.

Students of the Master of Science in Health Service Administration (MSHSA) and Master of Science in Health Service Administration and Public Health (MSHSA-MPH) dual degree programs represented Barry University April 9 in the annual South Florida Healthcare Executive Forum (SFHEF) Student Case Competition.

The competition, sponsored by the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), took place at Holy Cross Hospital.

Barry University students Amit Parmar, Vishkarma Deonarine, Idell Gayman, Abdulrahman Alsaeed, Nadine Chammout and Andrea Barton won second place in the competition. They presented their selected case study before a panel of health care executives that included: Diana Salinas, chief compliance and ethics officer at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach; Dr. Angela R. Burrafato, MHA medical director of Aetna South Florida; and Mark R. Dissette, MBA, senior vice president and administrator of HealthPlex.
