Barry students present at LSSF Symposium; win third place in oral competition

For the third consecutive year, research students from Barry University presented at the Life Sciences South Florida (LSSF) STEM symposium. Nine Barry students presented two oral and eight poster presentations at the symposium on April 12. The event was an opportunity for students who do research for credit to present their research finding at a statewide research meeting.

Barry senior Wesam Azaizeh, a Biology major with minors in Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics, won third place in the oral competition for his presentation titled, “Increased Requirement for yKu Function in cdc13-1 Mutant Saccharomyces cerevisiae.”
