Health Promotion & Wellness
We aim to meet the wellness needs of the campus community by providing a wide variety of wellness based programs. We offer Fitness and Group Exercise classes; which students can take for credit! Students should contact their academic advisor to enroll in these classes.
Faculty and Staff members of the Barry Community can also participate in these classes by stopping by the Campus Recreation and Wellness office in Landon Hall room 112.

The Health Promotion and Wellness Coordinator (HPW) collaborates with the Barry University student, faculty, and staff to promote a healthy campus environment, enhance student well-being and mindfulness, and foster student empowerment to achieve optimal health and academic success through eight strategic areas.
We believe that health and wellness is more than just healthy eating and exercise. We utilize the eight dimensions of wellness under SAMHSA model to inform our approach to physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, environmental, occupational, financial, and social wellness.
