Speaker Bios

Kristy Singletary leads the IT Program Manager Team at the National Technical Information Service (NTIS), a bureau within the U.S. Department of Commerce. Kristy’s team is responsible for executing a wide range of services including hosting, solution architecture and technology integration, Java development, content architecture, and data analytics for the NTIS. She manages IT projects valued at over $15 million and leads the acquisition department, which handles over $20 million worth of equipment and labor services.

Kristy also serves in the military as a Human Resource Officer for the District of Columbia Army National Guard.

Kristy holds BAs in Accounting and Marketing from Barry University and an MS in Public Administration from Central Michigan University.

Christina Thompson is a software engineer at Artsy, the leading global platform for discovering and collecting art. At Artsy, Christina builds products that foster an efficient and inspiring experience for new and seasoned art buyers.

Prior to joining Artsy, she was a developer at Apex Learning an online learning solution platform based in Seattle. Christina entered the world of software development in 2014 when she participated in the first cohort of Ada Developers Academy, an intensive software development training program for women and gender diverse people.

Before becoming a developer, Christina began her career in sports marketing at the Miami Dolphins and later the Orange Bowl Committee. Christina holds a BA in Marketing and MA in Sports Marketing from Barry University.

Both Kristy and Christina were members of the Barry University Women’s Basketball Team.
