Barry's College of Nursing and Health Sciences receives top 20 ranking

Barry University’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences recently received a top 20 ranking from CollegeAtlas.org. Florida is home to 159 nursing schools, making this recognition an impressive achievement. Health care is one of Florida’s most vibrant industries and it continues to grow.

Barry ranked 19 between Bethune-Cookman University and Florida Southern College. The University of Florida came in first on their list. The ranking considered in-state tuition, board exam pass rates, and number of students among other qualifications.

The largest demand for nurses are found in Florida’s major population centers, including Jacksonville, Tampa, Miami, Orlando and St. Petersburg. The largest areas of job growth is predicted to occur in adult critical care centers, nursing facilities and home health care.
