Barry University hosts Make-A-Wish Foundation at Homecoming basketball games

Barry University’s Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is dedicating all of its Homecoming athletic events to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. All alumni, family, employees and Buccaneers fans are urged to support this worthwhile cause.

Make-A-Wish is a fundraising initiative of the NCAA to grant wishes to area kids with medical conditions.

This weekend, Barry’s goal is to raise $5,000 to fund a wish for Jonathan, who battles with Cystic Fibrosis. Jonathan and his family will be on hand for a special presentation between Saturday’s women’s and men’s basketball games versus Palm Beach Atlantic.

The women’s game tips off at 3 p.m. and the men’s game at 5 p.m.

All of the proceeds from gate and concessions sales from this weekend’s games will be donated to Make-A-Wish. Donation boxes will also be on site at this weekend’s games.
