Barry’s PACE and Big Brothers Big Sisters partner up

Barry University’s School of Professional & Career Education (PACE), attended The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami annual volunteer appreciation luncheon. Last month, members gathered at the Hyatt Regency Miami to thank the many mentors for their dedication and service to the children of Miami-Dade County.

Dr. Pamela Luckett, PACE associate dean, announced the statewide partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters Association of Florida.

During national mentoring month (January), hundreds of volunteers and their little brothers and little sisters gathered together where mentors were given awards for their service, many of whom served 5, 10, and even 20 years as a Big Brother or Big Sister. Mentors and the Barry University team celebrated the power and the impact of one-to-one mentoring and education.
