Counseling Department Hosts Webcast: Applying Bowen Theory to Connecticut School Shooting

The Counseling Department of Barry University will host the third of a three-part series with Dr. Michael Kerr M.D.

Date: Monday, May 20, 2013
Time: 6 – 7:30 p.m.
Location: Library 103

Dr. Kerr has worked closely with Dr. Bowen, almost from the inception of the Bowen Family Center in Washington, D.C. His book, “Family Evaluation,” is the seminal work on Bowen theory and he has been further developing Bowen theory and practice over the last 30 years.

This webcast applies Bowen Theory to the recent Connecticut school shooting. This presentation will frame information from the Bowen theory perspective to help explain the family emotional process that appears to have significantly contributed to the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary.

Cost per webcast: $10.00.
1.5 CEUS will be offered.
