On February 14, 2013, the Barry University Honors Program invited the Barry community to their spring 2013 Guest Lecture Series with a presentation by Dr. Linda Berdayes and Dr. Sean Buckreis – “A Generation in Trouble: The Future of Education in America.”
This year’s topic evaluated the successes and failings of the United States education system in the scope of global standings. Are our school systems failing us? Is the rise of technology helping or hindering our education? What can we do to ensure that we remain competitive in a global economy where education is a top criterion for success?
