The Barry University’s Ethics Bowl team participated in the Southeast Regional Ethics Bowl competition held at St. Petersburg College, Largo, FL on Saturday, November 4, 2017. The team tied Samford University and the Citadel in its first two matches but narrowly lost its last two matches to Georgia State University and Rollins College.
This year's team consists of five debaters: Tiffany Wallace, Raul Lopez, Llona Kavege, Kirrin Tubo, Sophia Naves, and three researchers: Jessica Blanco, Presler Maxius and Kahelia Smellie.
Coaches from the Department of Theology and Philosophy are: Dr. Sandra Fairbanks, Professor of Philosophy, specializing in Ethics, Philosophy of Law and Political Theory and Dr. Joel Wilcox; Professor of Philosophy, specializing in Greek Philosophy, Asian Philosophy, and Philosophy of Art.
