MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Barry Buccaneers swept a baseball double header from the Belmont Abbey Crusaders at Feinbloom Field on Sunday, winning game one 3-2 in 11 innings and taking the finale 12-2 in nine.

In the first game, Nick Shaw drew a bases-loaded walk in the 11th inning with one out, forcing in Carlos Gomez who had singled to start the inning, with the winning run.

The Crusaders built a 2-0 lead off Barry starter Andrew Koubek on a pair of solo homers by Seth Waller and Ryan Ronda.

Crusader starter Michael Raymond carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning, before the wheels came off. Brett Rossi and Shaw drew walks to lead off the inning and Andrew Frezza cashed them in with a single through the left side to break up both the no-hitter and the shutout and knot the game at 2-2.

Abbey’s Trey Summerlin and Barry’s Aaron Main (1-1) then locked up in a four-inning duel matching scoreless frames. Main earned the win for the Bucs, allowing two hits and a walk in four innings, while striking out two. John Merritt (0-1) took the loss for the Crusaders, giving up one run on a hit and a walk in a third of an inning.

In the nightcap, the Bucs scored seven runs in the third inning to break open a 1-1 game and cruised to the 12-2 win. Frezza led off the inning with a single and scored ahead of Servidio’s home run. Frezza also capped the inning with a two-run single and Shaw also knocked in two in the frame.

Servidio added a second two-run shot in the eighth inning to make the final margin.

Brian Milanes (1-0) worked six strong innings, holding the Crusaders to a run on four hits and two walks, while fanning six. Tayler Powell (0-2) took the loss, surrendering eight runs on eight hits and six walks in 2.2 innings.

Servidio finished the day six-for-10 with two doubles, two homers and four RBI. Frezza went four-for-10 and also drove in four as did Shaw.

The Bucs travel to San Diego, Calif., to take on the UC San Diego Tritons in a four-game set next weekend, Friday-Sunday, Feb. 15-17 before returning to Feinbloom Field on Feb. 22 against Palm Beach Atlantic.
