Women's Soccer Falls to Lynn

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Barry University women’s soccer team dropped a heartbreaking loss to Lynn University (5-1-1, 1-0-1 SSC) 1-0 on Wednesday night at Buccaneer Field.

The only goal of the game came in the 30th minute of the second period as the result of a Buccaneer foul. Carley Radcliff tackled Lynn’s Melissa Ortiz inside the penalty area about 15 yards from the goal. Ortiz was awarded a penalty kick, which she slipped past a lunging Sami Cromartie.

Cromartie had four saves for the Buccaneers, but dropped to 5-2-0 on the season. Lynn’s goalkeeper, NatalieFeller, had seven saves and improved to 5-1-1 for the season.

The Buccaneers (5-2-0, 1-1-0 SSC) return to action on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 11:00 am against West Florida in Tampa.
