Men's Soccer Drops Close One To Saints

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.—The Barry Buccaneers fell 2-1 to the Flagler College Saints in men’s soccer action at Flagler Field on Saturday.
 
The Buccaneers (10-5-1) fell behind 2-0 in the first half as Flagler (8-5-2) got goals from Will Frandsen and Brad Vinciguerra.
 
The Bucs closed to within one on a rebound goal by Sascha Koettig in the 69th minute. Mark Anderson’s shot was saves by Saint keeper Zach Volpi, but Koetting was there to knock in the rebound.
 
Volpi had three saves for the Saints, while Devela Gorrick had five for Barry.
 
The Bucs close out the regular season on Friday, Oct. 31 at 5:30 pm against Rollins College at Buccaneer Field.
