MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Barry Buccaneers dropped a 70-59 decision to the Rollins Tars in the Health & Sports Center on Wednesday night.
The Bucs (14-8, 5-6 SSC) led 30-29 at the half, but the Tars (18-4, 9-2 SSC) ran off a 16-7 run in the second half to take a 10-point lead, 52-42, at the 9:36 mark on a three-pointer by Nikola Baran. The Bucs got no closer than eight the rest of the way.
Tony Dennison led the Bucs with 17 points, while Zack Trapp and Willie Whitfield each added 10. Nick Wolf led Rollins with 23 points and 13 rebounds and Matt Robertson added 11 points.
The Bucs travel to face the Nova Southeastern Sharks in the University Center on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 4:00 pm.
