MELBOURNE, Fla.—The Barry University baseball team (5-4) scored two runs in the ninth and three in the tenth to take an 8-7 win over the Florida Tech Panthers (5-4) in non-conference play on Saturday afternoon.
Drew Dwelly had four hits, two RBI and a run to lead the Bucs to the win. Calvin Rayburn took the win, moving to 1-0 on the season.
Down 5-3 in the ninth, Evan Ashley singled and Lyndon Coleman walked to start things off for the Bucs. Dwelly popped a single scoring Ashley and Dean Green hit a single scoring Coleman to tie it 5-5.
In the tenth inning, the Bucs scored three more to take an 8-5 lead. James Young singled down the right field line scoring Harold Holeness. Moments later Dwelly singled to score Adrian English. Chris Leon put the finishing touches on the inning with a sacrifice fly that scored Young.
The Bucs return to action tomorrow against Florida Tech for a double header that starts at 12:00, noon.
