MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—Propelled by three wins in doubles, the Barry University men’s tennis team remained perfect n conference play on Sunday afternoon with a 6-3 win over Rollins College.
In doubles action, the fifth-ranked team of Max Wimmer and Emanuel Fraitzl beat Jeff Morris and Arturo Baravalle 8-5 at the top flight. At No. 2 doubles, Quentin Vachez and Marco Mokrzycki beat Jason Alabaster and Nick Rowlands 8-6. In the final doubles flight, Sergio Velez and Ollie Lemaitre downed Sebastian Hafner and David Yawalker 8-4.
In singles action, the Bucs earned three points to help them to the 6-3 win. At the top flight, #1 Fraitzl defeated #5 Morris 6-1, 6-3. At number two doubles, #26 Wimmer downed Baravalle 6-3, 6-4. At No. 5, Velez beat Chris Herbert 6-3, 6-3.
The Bucs return to action on Friday in a conference matchup against Florida Southern.
