MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Fresh off a conference road sweep of Rollins College and Florida Institute of Technology, Barry's volleyball team has little time away from the court.

The Bucs (14-11, 6-6 in Sunshine State Conference) are back at it 7 p.m. Tuesday when they play at Nova Southeastern before hosting Palm Beach Atlantic 7 p.m. Friday at home.

"We have a very important match against Nova tomorrow night," Barry coach Steve Hendricks said. "It's just an important match that we need to win to keep our region hopes alive."

In the first meeting between the two teams at Health & Sports Center on the Bucs' campus, Barry responded with its back against the wall for a five-set win over the Sharks. Like Saturday's win over FIT, the Buccaneers trailed 2-0 in the match against Nova, which has lost 11 straight.

The Sharks (4-23, 1-10 SSC) gave the Bucs fits in the first meeting, and while it would be a little easier on the nerves to not have to grind out another marathon match, Barry's mission is simply to win.

"Whatever it takes," Hendricks said with a chuckle, the thought of another five-set match eliciting the humor.

The Buccaneers, which have won three in a row, moved into fourth place in the league standings. They are a match behind Florida Southern for third place with four SSC matches remaining over a packed two-week schedule to close the regular season.

Palm Beach Atlantic, which was ranked No. 3 in the South Region poll released for the first time this season last week, is Barry's lone non-conference match over the final five. Not to belabor the point, but the Bucs and Sailfish (31-3) went to five sets in a the two schools' first meeting last month.

"We have a good opportunity against PBA because they're ranked so high in the region," Hendricks said. "I think we'll play well."
