I WAS ACCEPTED!! Now What?

Print out and follow this checklist to take you from acceptance to your first day of class:

  • Secure your seat. To guarantee your seat in the class you must submit your $250 tuition deposit. Submitting your deposit secures your spot and initiates the financial aid process.
    • Go to www.barry.edu/deposit/
    • Enter your student ID# and last name and submit.
    • Verify all information is correct and submit.
  • Final transcript Have your final transcript conferring your degree and date awarded sent to LSAC for inclusion in your CAS report. The transcript can also be sent directly to Barry University School of Law, ATTN: Office of Admissions, 6441 E. Colonial Drive, Orlando FL 32807.
  • Submit your FAFSA online (School Code E00993).
  • Follow the instructions in the Step By Step guide to financial aid. If you have additional questions, please email lawfinaid@barry.edu.
  • Join the Barry Law Admitted Students Spring 2017 Facebook page – “message” an administrator to join the page. Use this page to communicate with your classmates.
  • Secure housing in the Orlando area. View a list of some of the most popular apartment communities recommended by current law students.
  • Register for classes. Confirm your courses by completing the Registration Forms under the To Do List online or the forms that have been emailed to you.
  • RSVP for Admitted Students Day on December 10th. This program will help acclimate you to Barry Law and introduce you to the people working to make your law school experience a success. RSVP here.
  • RSVP for the Admission to Oath program – these are a series of workshops held in December and January which will introduce you to your first year courses and give you insight and tools to have a successful first year. RSVP here.
  • Purchase your textbooks at the Barry Law Bookstore with your $1,000 textbook stipend (December/January).
  • Print out your course syllabi in January
    • Using your Barry username, log onto the main WebLawpage
    • At the top of the page click the tab for STUDENTS
    • On the left menu click the tab for SYLLABI
    • Select your professor's name from the dropdown menu
    • Select your course
