Bio
Professor Marc Edelman is a member of the faculty at Barry University's Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law, where he teaches and writes in the areas of antitrust, contracts, property law and sports law. He is regularly cited by the media about how the Sherman Act applies to professional sports leagues, and his publications have been cited by three Supreme Court briefs in the case American Needle v. National Football League.
A magna cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and a cum laude graduate of Michigan Law School, Professor Edelman previously practiced antitrust and sports litigation with the law firms Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom LLP and Dewey Ballantine LLP.
Professor Edelman has published 18 full-length law review articles, including articles in the Northwestern Journal of International Law & Business, Northwestern Journal of Law and Social Policy, Pace Law Review, Penn State Law Review, Rutgers Law Journal, Stanford Journal of Law, Business & Finance, and the Virginia Sports & Entertainment Law Journal.
During his summers, Professor Edelman teaches Professional Sports and the Law at Fordham Law School. He also serves as a legal consultant on sports and antitrust matters.
