WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.—Karega Tucker scored a career-high 23 points to lead the Barry Buccaneers to a 79-51 win over the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish at the Greene Complex Wednesday night.
 
The Bucs (3-4) led 17-14 with 10:29 left in the first half, but held the Sailfish (1-4) without a basket for the rest of the period to build a 35-17 lead at the break.
 
In the second half, the Bucs continued to pull away, taking a 32-point lead at the 1:10 mark in a short drive and jumper from Bryan Astigarraga that put them up 77-45.
 
In addition to Tucker’s 23, Chad Bishop added 16 points and 13 boards for the Bucs. Danile Lopez led the Sailfish with 14 points.
 
The Buccaneers open up Sunshine State Conference play on Saturday, Dec. 1 taking on the Panthers of Florida Tech in the Health & Sports Center with tipoff scheduled for 2:00 pm.
