MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Barry women’s tennis team shutout the Flagler Saints 9-0 at the Buccaneer Tennis Center on Saturday.
 
Ildiko Csordas and Caroline Stevens shut down the Saints’ tandem of Fernanda Ospina and Roxane Alt 8-1 at the top doubles flight. The Bucs took the bottom two flights by identical 8-5 scores, with Helen Wisniewski and Angie Werschel over Chelsea Maratta and Chelsea Taylor at number two and Berit Peterson and Olivia Lilien over Deon Miller and Gabriela Ospina at three.
 
In singles, Stevens made short work of Fernanda Ospina 6-3, 6-0 and #25 Werschel defeated Taylor 6-2, 6-2 at number two.
 
At number three, Wisniewski handled Alt 6-1, 6-2, while Peterson took care of Miller 6-4, 6-3 at four.
 
At the bottom two flights, the Bucs’ Lilien defeated Maratta 6-2, 7-5 at number five and Laime Contreras handled Gabriela Ospina 7-5, 6-2.
 
The Bucs host NCAA Division I Rutgers on Monday, Mar. 17 at the Buccaneer Tennis Center.
