DAVIE, Fla.—The Barry University women’s soccer team tied Nova Southeastern 1-1 on Wednesday evening to go to 5-3-1, 1-1-1 SSC for the season.

Both teams went scoreless in the first period. In the second period, the Sharks (4-0-3) scored first with 21:21 left in the game when Alexis Hernandez shot from the right side.

With 4:54 left in the game, Emily Bourgoine tied it up for the Bucs when she put the ball in a wide open goal.
During the two overtimes that followed the second period, Barry took five shots to the Sharks 2, but were unable to capitalize, and the game ended in a tie.

Nova goalie, Megan Kim, faced seven shots-on-goal, and had five saves. She moves to 4-0-3 on the season. For the Bucs, Sami Cromartie faced six shots, and had five saves. Cromartie goes to 5-3-1 for the season.

The Buccaneers return to action on Saturday, Sept. 27 against Florida Southern at Buccaneer Field.
