MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Barry Buccaneers scored 0:15 seconds after losing the lead to defeat the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish 2-1 in a rain-soaked game at Buccaneer Field on Tuesday.
Mark Kilpatrick drilled home the game-winner, just 0:15 seconds after the Sailfish (5-3-0) knotted the game at 1-1 in the 73rd minute.
After a scoreless first half, Barry got on the board first when Mark Anderson bent in a corner kick in the 54th minute.
But leading 1-0, the Bucs (8-1-0) went down a man when Wendell James was whistled for a red card infraction in the 67th minute.
PBA capitalized on the man advantage early in the 73rd minute. Daniel Abrahamsohn drove a ball up the right sideline and played a cross over to the top of the six-yard box where Enrico Zanella headed it home past Barry keeper Devala Gorrick.
Gorrick made nine saves for the Bucs as he improved to 8-1 on the season. Joe Yurchak had three saves and fullback Jerris Gay also knocked a ball off the line.
The Bucs will travel to Eckerd on Saturday, Oct. 4 to face the Tritons at 7:00 pm
