Men's Tennis Picks up an Easy Win over Tech

MELBOURNE, Fla.— The Barry University men’s Tennis team stayed undefeated on Sunday, beating Florida Tech (0-4, 0-2 SSC), 9-0, on the road.
 
In number one doubles, Max Wimmer and Emanuel Fraitzl beat Noe Losmozos and Cory Hodes 8-3. The number two doubles team of Ales Svigelj and Andrew Sharnov beat Jonathan Hanna and Bradley Kirkham 8-1. In number three doubles Jakub Fejfar and Sergio Velez beat James McLane and Michael Schmidt 8-2.
 
Like the doubles matches, the Bucs (5-0, 3-0 SSC) took every singles match. Svigelj won in number one singles, beating Losmozos 6-2, 6-4.
 
Wimmer took the number two spot, beating McLane 6-3, 6-2 to give the Bucs the victory.
 
Roman Werschel went on to win the number three singles spot, beating Jonathan Hanna 6-3, 6-0. Fejfar, Velez, and David Barrigan took the numbers four, five, and six spots respectively.
 
The Buccaneers, ranked #2 in the nation, remain undefeated heading into next weekend’s West coast road trip where they will face Azusa Pacific, UC San Diego, and Hawaii Pacific.
