MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Barry Buccaneers fell on Sunday to the #15 Florida Southern Moccasins 2-1 in Sunshine State Conference women’s soccer action at Buccaneer Field.

The Mocs (8-3-2, 4-1-0 SSC) scored twice in 1:30 minutes in the first half. Kerri-Ann Brown took the ball away from the Buccaneer defense and scored into an empty net at 30:55. At 32:25, Brown’s header rebounded off the post and Barry’s Mikaela Barboza accidentally punched it into the goal for a 2-0 FSC lead.

Barry got one goal back in the 69th minute. Melissa Madrid flicked a header toward the far post that appeared to be headed in, but FSC’s Ashley Haas stepped in front to knock it away, giving the Bucs a corner.
