Baseball's Win Streak Ends At Eight

MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Barry University baseball team dropped a close game to the Adelphi Panthers at home on Tuesday evening. The Bucs (14-8) lost 3-1.
 
Barry’s only run came in the third inning when Lyndon Coleman got on base with a single up the middle. After a Harold Holness double, Coleman reached home on Drew Dwelly sacrifice fly.
 
Adelphi (7-5-1) scored twice in the first and added an insurance run in the sixth.
 
Frank Szczepanik took his first loss of the season in the decision, moving to 0-1. Jonathan Gonzalez pitched the complete game for the Panthers. He moves to 2-0 on the season.
 
The Bucs return to action this weekend when they travel to Eckerd for a single game on Friday at 7:00 pm and a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 12:00, noon.
