Barry men's tennis team made quick work of Eckerd College Sunday, beating the Tritons 9-0 to complete a three-day road trip to Northern Florida.

Barry went 2-1 on the road swing, its only loss to NCAA Division I North Florida, a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference. The Buccaneers improved to 4-1 overall, 3-0 in the Sunshine State Conference following Sunday's win over league member Eckerd.

On this day, the No. 2 nationally-ranked Buccaneers allowed no more than three wins in each match. No. 1 doubles partners Marco Mokrzycki and Fabian Groetsch, a lefty with promise, beat Stephen Felman and Dylan Randazzo, 8-3. Romain Costamagna, playing up due to the injury to Daniel Schmidt, beat Brian Hill, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 2 singles.

Francisco Sigaud and Juan Martin, playing in their first singles matches of the season, breezed to straight set wins at Nos. 5 and 6, respectively. Playing in place of the Mokrzycki, who was given the day off from singles competition, Groetsch won his No. 1 singles match in comortable fashion. He beat Randazzo, 6-0, 6-2.

Kevin Sielmann, one of nine Bucs to record at least one win, beat Connor Olson, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 4.

Barry returns home to host St. Thomas at 10:30 a.m. and Palm Beach Atlantic at 3 p.m. Friday at Buccaneer Tennis Center.
