MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry pounded a season-high 23 hits in a 23-2 win over Adelphi Tuesday night at Feinbloom Field. The 23 runs also were a season-best for the No. 22-ranked Buccaneers.

The school record for runs scored is 32 against Catholic University set in 1991 in a game played in Miami Shores. Barry's 23 runs Tuesday is tied for fifth in school history, and is the most since the Buccaneers scored 25 against Caldwell (N.J.) in 2010.

Joe Iorio went 4-for-7 with a home run, double and four RBI, Michael Diaz was 2-for-6 with a grand slam and five RBI, and Michael Slabach was 3-for-4 with a triple, a double and two RBI as the Bucs improved to 12-3 at home. Tyler Kellmann was 3-for-6 with a double and three RBI. Tim Blackmon was 2-for-2 with two RBI, and JC Cardenas went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Every Buccaneer starter had at least one hit, and eight of them had multiple hits.

The Bucs (17-7) drove in a season-high 20 runs. Their previous high this season was 14, which they did twice this year.

Pitcher Tyler Kinley (2-0) worked three innings, allowing four hits, no runs and no walks to earn the win. Adrian Benitez, Alex Decker, Billy Atkins, and Matthew Garlock all pitched one inning of shutout relief on a combined two hits and no walks.

The Buccaneers scored in each of the first four innings, taking a 10-0 lead in the second. Diaz belted his grand slam to right in the fourth -- an inning Barry scored five times on four hits. The Bucs scored six runs in the second on five hits.

The fifth inning was the only inning Barry didn't score. The Bucs sent nine batters to the plate in the first and 12 in the second. They sent nine batters to the plate in both the third and fourth innings as well.

Barry didn't commit an error for the fourth time this year.

The Bucs begin a three-game series at Florida Southern 7 p.m. Friday.
