Global Cuba Fest 2021 Is Shaping the Future of Cuban Music.

FUNDarte and Miami Light Project present Global Cuba Fest 2021, a celebration of the culture and rhythms of Cuba. Barry’s Department of English and Foreign Languages encourages faculty, staff, and students to attend the event and participate in the festival’s master classes, lectures, and workshops.

Enjoy the “new Latin jazz” of trombonist Julio Montalvo who will perform with former Celia Cruz-collaborator Alain Pérez and the Cuban Collective. Cuban-born drummer, composer, and MacArthur Genius Fellow, Dafnis Prieto, is also headlining the concert with his sextet of Latin and jazz artists.

This is a live, in-person event with COVID-19 safety protocols, including reduced seating, and physical distancing.
