Graduating with Honors (Undergraduates Only)

Graduating with Honors (Undergraduates Only)

In order to qualify for graduation with Honors, an undergraduate student must have taken a minimum of 56 credit hours at Barry carrying letter grades of A, B, C, or D, and must have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or above. Only courses taken at Barry are computed in determining honors. The GPA will be rounded using the third decimal place.

CUM LAUDE minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50
MAGNA CUM LAUDE minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.70
SUMMA CUM LAUDE minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.90

Honors Cords: Barry graduates do not wear special cords if they are graduating with honors.

Students who are elected to National Honor Societies receive honor cords from the moderators of the respective honor society.
