Thinking of Running for Office?: A "How-To" Guide for Campaigning

Are you interested - or think you might be interested - in one day running for office?  Learn this macro practice skill and see how social workers can  make a difference in government and will the equitable allocation of resources!  Students will review rationale and motivation for running for office, establishing campaign priorities, building a campaign team, campaign budgets, messaging, and staying true to social work values. 

 

Dr. Mitch Rosenwald is a Full Professor of Social Work at Barry.  He is currently running for Oakland Park City Commission and is the past President of the National Association of Social Workers, Florida Chapter.  He teaches courses on  macro practice, research, and group work.
