Continuing Education Course NURA 687-09 Advanced Health Assessment & Differential Diagnosis Barry University is pleased to offer to CRNAs an online, self-paced, 3 credit hour course designed by a CRNA for CRNAs to establish differential diagnosis based on logical diagnostic reasoning for health maintenance, disease prevention and detection.

In accordance with the National Council of States Boards of Nursing (NCSBN), for entry into APRN practice and for regulatory purposes, APRN education must include, at a minimum, three separate comprehensive graduate-level courses, also known as the APRN Core: advanced physiology/pathophysiology, including general principles across the life span; advanced health assessment, including assessment of all human systems, advanced assessment techniques, concepts and approaches; and advanced pharmacology, including pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics and pharmacotherapeutics of all broad categories of agents.

The content of this course is designed to build upon previously acquired knowledge and skills of advanced physiology and pathophysiology, advanced pharmacology, and the domains and competencies common to advanced practice roles.

This course will be offered during the Summer semester, and takes approximately 45 hours of time to complete. Requirements include a 300 MHz Pentium (or equivalent) computer with internet access. Broadband (DSL or cable modem) internet access is highly recommended.

Cost for this course is $1125 per credit hour plus technology fees. Financial aid is not available for NURA 678-09 Advanced Health Assessment and Differential Diagnosis. Standard withdrawal dates applicable according to the graduate catalog.
