Biography

Dr. Amir Rashidian is an Associate Professor of Pharmacology with experience in both teaching and research. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from Isfahan University of Medical Sciences in Isfahan, Iran, in 2009, and his PhD in Pharmacology from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran, in 2016. From 2016 to 2022, Dr. Rashidian served as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacology at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, where he taught pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and various courses in basic and clinical pharmacology to PharmD and MD students. His research during this time focused on evaluating signaling pathways involved in intestinal inflammation using murine models. From 2022 to 2023, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Illinois Chicago, where he investigated cellular responses to environmental stressors such as nutrient deprivation in both cell culture and mouse models. From 2023 to 2025, Dr. Rashidian was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Clinical Pharmacology at Indiana University School of Medicine, conducting research on drug-drug interactions in clinical trials. Dr. Rashidian is a dedicated educator and scientist committed to advancing pharmacological teaching and research, as well as mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals.
