Biography

Angi Curreri was born in Brooklyn, New York. She received her M.F.A. in ceramics and drawing from the University of Kansas in Lawrence and her B.F.A. in art from The University of Miami, Coral Gables. While in graduate school, she attended the University of Georgia's Study Abroad program in Cortona, Italy through the generosity of a Ford Foundation Grant and two University of Kansas fellowships: the Post Baccalaureate Affirmative Action Fellowship and the Summer Fellowship. Travel, dreams, memories and personal experiences inspire her work. Curreri's clay works and drawings have been exhibited at museums and galleries throughout the U.S. Her work is included in private and public collections in the United States, Canada, Japan, and Australia. She is also involved in the public art arena in South Florida creating ceramic installations and tile murals for Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.
