Biography

Baxlee Bynum joined the Counseling program in 2019. Dr. Bynum holds a BS in Psychology and a minor in International Studies from Auburn University. She also holds a MEd in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Ph.D. in Counselor Education from Auburn University. Dr. Bynum is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of AL and is actively working towards licensure in FL. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor and an International Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She is also a certified Disaster Mental Health Care provider. Her professional research interests include cognitive behavioral therapy, justice within the workplace, mindfulness-based practices, evidence-based practices, teaching multicultural competence through emersion experiences, and supervision of novice counselors.
