Biography

Professor Spink joined the Barry Law faculty in the fall of 2025. She has also served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Barry and as a Westerfield Fellow at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. 

Before entering academia, Professor Spink practiced law for over 20 years in BigLaw, focusing on global employment and transactional matters. During her tenure at Baker McKenzie, she was promoted to partner and co-led the North America Global Employment and Labor Law Practice. At McDermott Will & Emery, her most recent firm, she co-chaired its COVID-19 Task Force and frequently spoke on pandemic-related issues. 

Professor Spink graduated with high honors and was elected to the Order of the Coif at Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she served as Notes and Comments Editor of the Chicago-Kent Law Review. She also earned a master’s degree in international relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida. 

Professor Spink’s teaching and research interests include contracts, employment law, commercial transactions, and comparative law.
