Biography

Professor Haley Mendola joined Barry University School of Law as an Assistant Professor in 2023. Professor Mendola teaches, or has taught, Legal Writing and Research I & II, Torts, Moot Court, Tools for Success, and Non-FL Bar Essay. Professor Mendola also serves as the Faculty Coordinator of the Moot Court Program. Prior to joining Barry, Professor Mendola served as the Academic and Bar Support Specialist at Elon University School of Law, while also teaching Contracts as an Adjunct Professor at Monterey College of Law. Professor Mendola also coached Moot Court teams while at Elon Law. Prior to teaching, Professor Mendola worked in private practice in Washington, D.C. at Slocumb Law Firm handling personal injury cases, and in Maryland at the Law Offices of James E. Crawford, Jr., handling family law, domestic violence, and other various civil cases. Professor Mendola is a member of the D.C. and Maryland Bars. She earned her J.D. from Elon University School of Law and graduated magna cum laude from Seton Hill University with a B.A. in Political Science and minors in Journalism and Theatre Performance.
