Biography

Ricardo Sanchez is a distinguished member of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. He completed his university studies at Moscow State University, where he earned a Master of Science degree. Since 1991, Ricardo has dedicated his career to advancing the transformative power of education in shaping human lives. His teaching and research experience spans institutions of higher education in Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and the United States.

Ricardo’s work is centered on research, particularly in the fields of biomedical studies and the improvement of educational methodologies. He emphasizes the educator's responsibility in upholding high academic standards. His expertise includes teaching graduate-level courses in mathematics, with a focus on topology, while his passion lies in the application of statistics in biomedical and social research. This is where he dedicates much of his time outside of his teaching commitments.

Ricardo has been recognized for his contributions to education, receiving the Merit for Educational Excellence at prestigious institutions such as Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in the Dominican Republic, Miami Dade College, and Miami International University of Art and Design in the United States.
