Biography
Dione Reece is the Vice President of the Chi Sigma Alpha, Alpha Mu Chapter Honor Society, and recently accepted a position as a Career and Academic Success Coach at Nova Southeastern University. In her role, she coaches a caseload of over 300 undergraduate students in psychology, sociology, and neuroscience through monitoring their academic and career development. She educates students on developing effective applications via resume development, personal statements, and interviewing techniques for psychology, sociology, and neuroscience graduate programs. Dione Reece described how her graduate program impacted her professional practice: “My Master’s program at Barry University helped prepare me to work with diverse groups of people, be an effective leader, learn different roles in higher ed and the duties that go along with each role. This program has identified and grown my strengths and helped me greatly improve my prior weaknesses. The professors have inspired me to look at situations differently and never be afraid to create positive change.”
