Family Wellness and Strengthening Program

Family Wellness and Strengthening ProgramBarry University’s Family Wellness and Strengthening Program supports children’s prosocial development across their lifespan, empower parents, strengthen the family, and prepare children for a lifetime of success.

CARE Center’s Family Wellness and Strengthening Program serves as an ecosystem of support for children and families in our community. Families, parents/caregivers, and children are afforded high-quality programs to equip them with vital tools and skills to increase their protective factors and strengthen the family environment, which in turn will support children’s development and parent/caregiver well-being. This is accomplished through the delivery of two family-parenting interventions tailored to support the child and parent: Strengthening Families 7-17 years program (SFP) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
