Born in Haiti and rooted in resilience, Marjorie Lozama, DNP '24, and Jeff Lozama, MBA '24, have built lives defined by perseverance, purpose, and a commitment to serving others. Dr. Marjorie Lozama, a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice, is passionate about empowering individuals on their mental health journey. Fluent in Haitian Creole, French, English, and Spanish, she provides compassionate, culturally competent care that meets people where they are, creating a supportive environment. Her mission is not just to treat, but to uplift, helping clients achieve meaningful change and realize their fullest potential.
Jeff Lozama’s story is one of entrepreneurial spirit and determination. After immigrating to the United States as a teenager, he discovered a talent for business that would carry him from his first job in a small construction firm to becoming President and CEO of CMS International Group Corporation. When the 2007 housing collapse closed the Miami branch, he had grown into an $8 million operation. Jeff did not give up. He utilized his 401 (k), reorganized, and built CMS International into one of South Florida’s leading distributors of high-end building materials, serving the Caribbean and Latin America. His philosophy is simple: remain true to yourself, persevere through challenges, and give back to your community.
That sense of giving back is a thread that runs through both of their lives. Jeff serves on the board of the Haitian-American Chamber of Commerce of Florida and supports the Man Dodo Foundation, which has grown from a small toy drive into a mission serving thousands of children and families in Haiti with healthcare and hope. Dr. Lozama, through her practice, restores dignity and healing one patient at a time. Together, they embody the power of faith, perseverance, and community; a Barry legacy of using one’s gifts to uplift others.
