Few collegiate programs can rival the dominance of Barry University’s women’s tennis team. With nine
NCAA National Championships, the Buccaneers have built a dynasty defined by grit, precision, and passion. At the heart of that legacy stands Mr. Harvey Willensky, a loyal friend of the University whose steadfast support has strengthened the program and inspired generations of student-athletes.
More than a fan, Mr. Willensky has been a mentor, advocate, and champion of Barry’s mission. His belief in Barry’s mission and in the power of athletics to shape lives has propelled the women’s tennis program to the highest levels of success. His deep commitment to Barry's student-athletes is evident in his generosity to support the new tennis scoreboard now standing at the Buccaneer courts. More than just a practical addition, the scoreboard is a lasting symbol of his pride in the program, his commitment to enhancing the student-athlete experience, and a celebration of the legacy of championship success.
“Harvey believes in people first,” notes Coach Avi Kigel. “Our athletes see him not only as a supporter of the program, but as someone who genuinely cares about their journey both on and off the court.”
