Academics Department of Health Promotion & Clinical Practice Wins First Place in Both Undergraduate & Graduate Research Poster Competition On April 22, the Greater New York chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine held their Spring conference at NYU Langone Health, New York City, NY

The Department of Health Promotion and Clinical Practice made waves with their exceptional research presentations. One of the most notable accomplishments was the recognition of Dr. Papadakis’, an Associate Professor of Exercise Physiology and Wellness, research team that won first place awards and $1000 check respectively for both undergraduate and graduate research poster competition.

The conference was attended by hundreds of researchers and academics from around the New York area, focused on the latest advancements in Mental Health and its Outcomes in Athletic Participation.

Students Shine with Award Winning Research

The awards won by the department's research team, both at the undergraduate and graduate level, were a testament to the excellence of their work and the quality of the teaching and mentoring that is offered to its students. It is rare for a team to achieve such recognition in both categories, and it speaks to the dedication and hard work put in by Dr. Papadakis and the entire team.

The department's participation in this conference, with 9 total submissions, not only helped to promote their research, but also gave them the opportunity to network with other experts in the field and collaborate on potential future projects.
