Delta Epsilon Sigma

Established in 1939 to honor students, faculty, and alumni of Catholic colleges and universities, Delta Epsilon Sigma recognizes academic achievement, fosters scholarly activities, and creates intellectual community. Members are in the top 20 percent of their graduating class.

Election to Delta Epsilon Sigma recognizes dedication to intellectual activity and accepted responsibility of service to others.

Who should apply: Juniors or Seniors

  1. Election to Delta Epsilon Sigma requires a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA in credits earned at Barry University and ranking in the highest 20% of the junior or senior class.
  2. Applicants must have completed a minimum of 60 credits required for the degree at the time of application.
  3. Applicants must have adequate credentials demonstrating dedication and service to support the application.

Election to an honor society at Barry University is a privilege, not a right. It is the responsibility of a student applying for membership to an honor society to mention, document, and explain his/her qualifications for membership. Deadlines are strictly enforced.
