Purpose
The American Medical Student Association (AMSA) is a national organization of medical students and undergraduate pre-medical students. The pre-med chapter at Barry is concerned with helping students to prepare for medical school by:
- Exposing them to different medical environments by participation in volunteer activities and contact with practicing physicians;
- Engaging them in discussions about current topics in medicine;
- Providing them with information about various medical programs and schools through presentations by invited speakers;
- Guiding them through the admissions testing, application and interview process.
